This one-day RYA Marine Radio course is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to operate a fixed or handheld VHF radio correctly, including distress, urgency and safety procedures.

Delivered through Chichester Boat Club at Northshore Marina in Chichester Harbour, this is a practical, supportive course for boat owners, club members, charterers and anyone who wants to feel more capable on the water.

The RYA Short Range Certificate is the minimum qualification required to operate VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling equipment on a British flagged vessel fitted with a radio. It is also commonly required when chartering a vessel.
